Poisoned lake at Camp Lockheart

Key Events 

  • Started heading towards the priest’s house to ask about the lake
  • Introduced to Ridley 🦁 (Lucais). Leonin, paladin of Mesta 🏹 who decides to join the party in investigating the lake.
  • He took the party to his prayer spot near the lake, where a bowl with paintings of Tolak terrain was.
  • Kindle 🔥 noticed there were also moving paw prints on the bowl, and tried to touch the water in it. Ridley 🦁 stopped her and did it himself, fainting and being mentally transported to a forest, where a black Tabaxi (most likely Mesta 🏹) shot him with an arrow. He then awoke
  • In the meantime, Kindle 🔥 put her hand in the lake and felt sick afterwards, becoming infected with something called “The Scratch” Guards and townspeople became unwell and fainted after bathing in water.
  • Ridley 🦁 used Detect Magic to discover that the unconscious people’s sweat was glowing black and there was no school of magic attached. The people seemed to be in a deep sleep and could not be awoken.
  • The party joined Ziliir in scouting the lake that night.
  • Druids arrived and started to fix the lake with Ginny 🐢’s help.
  • Nothing notable occurred during the night
  • The next morning a woman came to the lake screaming that her husband had murdered their son.
  • She mentioned that her husband had not looked like himself at the time of the attack, and that he had previously been unconscious like the rest of the people. (He became aggressive, and appeared to have black tears and sharp fingers/claws.)
  • He was found sleeping with the other unconscious townsfolk
  • Many other claims of murder happened thereafter
  • Tabitha 💀 and Ridley 🦁 checked the unconscious people and found that they were cursed
  • Party discussed subduing Kindle 🔥 with magic, should she become aggressive.
  • With no other leads and more confusion, the party decided to leave the town in the capable hands of the druids and continue towards The Pale Valley.
  • Kindle 🔥 slept and had her vision
Vision

You are standing shorter than you expected. Looking out at military soldiers training.

Swords are being swung and one of the soldiers managed to knock the other off their feet. You hear yourself speak “Good work Alexander! King Dotah will be pleased with your progress”

The young soldier beams at you and continues training.
You feel yourself smile and look up at the sky as it starts to turn red.

You panic and look around and spot someone you seemed to be looking for.

It’s a young boy not older then 10 in noble robes and a small crown. He panics and stands running towards a castle.

“Prince- “You feel yourself get cut off as a red-hot pain shoot through your body and you wake up.

  • Tabitha 💀 checks on Ginny 🐢 and said her goodbye’s for now, then checked on the townsfolk, who said they had no memory beside trying to kill someone they called “Mr Scratch”
  • Mr Scratch looks like a lanky figure with massive hands and very long fingers.
