  • Miraren 🧝‍♂️ pranks Kindle 🔥 when Ridley 🦁 convinces her the Disciples of Olo ☠ are literally in the shadows.
  • Ridley 🦁 steals the tavern’s linen from Becky’s room so she can sleep in the back of the cart while we travel to The Grove
  • We arrive at The Temple of Olo ☠. Upon inspection, the sick child is pale, thin and lethargic, with rashes and is slipping in & out of consciousness. She is malnourished and dehydrated and nothing is working to fix it. The ailment seems unnatural like she’s ingested something she shouldn’t have. She looks like one of the children on the missing person posters - Annabella. Nothing magical comes off the girl.
  • The party journeys to The Grove.
  • Miraren 🧝‍♂️ speaks to Twiggy 🌳 for a moment, and the entity reveals that it personally knows Atlas 🌓, who may be related to the King Dotah that Kindle 🔥 saw in her vision. He also wants a flower crown
  • 😴Long rest😴
Encounter

Reach a sparse area of trees where we hear music from a lute, before something within the swamp attacks with crossbows.

After a brief encounter, Becky has her first kill - resulting in a panic attack - and the lute player manages to escape.

(🧝‍♂️ Miraren has a personal grudge against the bard, for calling him a “shit” rogue)

  • In her post-murder panic attack, Becky starts making flower crowns, including one for Twiggy 🌳, which shrinks to fit him perfectly before dissolving into an engraving around the top of the stick
  • After a little more travel, the party stumbles upon a house in The Grove. It is dilapidated but has a lovely yard.
  • There is a small, furry red creature wearing a crown sharpening a dagger in the garden. Ridley 🦁 reveals this creature is a much smaller version of a Goristro, which are usually 20 ft. tall and on par with a Pit Fiend. This is Corin.
  • Miraren 🧝‍♂️ sends Poggin 🐉 over to gently get the creature’s attention, and it is shortly revealed that the creature believes it is the “King of Demons”. The party takes great pleasure in hamming it up as they talk to the tiny demon
  • A woman appears in the doorway - Elowyn - and invites us in. She has a strange raven skull on the door that emits Fiendish energy
  • She explains that Corin’s crown cannot be removed - and shouldn’t be, as it’s what makes him so small and adorable.
  • Elowyn lets the party purchase Milk Thistle Fruit and Ginseng Root from her garden (10gp, Miraren 🧝‍♂️ & Tabitha 💀 split the cost), but does not have access to Valerian. She points us in the direction of where we can find some and allows us to leave the cart with her as it can’t be taken further into The Grove.
  • The party gets the shit kicked out of them by Assassin Vines
  • 😴Long rest😴
  • As the party approaches the centre of The Grove they see several golden lights floating around a large, undulating mass of vines, bones and other debris - a Shambling Mound - in the centre of which is a Valerian Root
