Emergency Assistance Procedure
Guests may indicate their need for assistance during an emergency by either ticking the designated box on the registration card or informing you verbally. It is crucial to confirm any requests made on the registration card directly
with the guest to ensure accuracy and prevent any unnecessary complications.
This information is vital for Emergency Services during evacuations or when providing assistance.
Procedure
- Present the "Request for Assistance in An Emergency" form to guests at check-in. The form can be found in the following location:
M:\Operations\Front Office\Reception\Templates\Templates for guest letters\Request for assistance in an emergency.docx
- Make a photocopy of the completed form.
- Distribute the copies as follows:
- Original: Place in the Evacuation Management Plan Folder located in the Fire Panel room for Emergency Services.
- Copy: Attach to the guest's registration card.
- Update the guest folio in iHMS:
- In the "Additional Item" section select "Add".
- Under "Stock," select "Emergency" and update the date as required.
- Inform the Duty Manager, who will document the details in the Duty Log.
