Silent Guest Procedure

Guests may request to be designated as "silent guests" at any point during their stay. This status entails specific privacy measures to ensure their comfort and discretion.

Implications of Silent Guest Status
  • We will NOT confirm the guest's presence to anyone during their stay.
  • No phone calls will be transferred to their room.
  • Access to their room or issuance of keys will be strictly limited to individuals listed as sharing guests in iHMS.
  • Silent guests can inform us of any necessary exceptions to these restrictions.
Procedure
  1. In the guest's folio in iHMS, add the note "SILENT GUEST" in the remarks section.
  2. Attach a note to every desk phone in the front office area, clearly stating: "Silent Guest - [Room Number] - [Check-out Date]".
  3. Update the Duty Log with the silent guest information. If the guest's stay spans multiple nights, ensure the silent guest status is added to the Duty Log daily.
