Counting Your Till

Counting the till at the start and end of your shift is crucial to ensure accurate financial records and prevent discrepancies.

This practice helps identify any cash handling errors or potential theft, safeguarding accountability and financial integrity.

The float should always remain at $400. Any discrepancies must be investigated by the Duty Manager.

You can utilise the calculator app on one of the Reception PCs, your phone, or the Balancing Sheet at M:\Operations\Front Office\New Shift Balance UPDATED JULY 2023.xlsm to calculate the float.

Once you've successfully counted a $400 float, record the final figures in the Float Register book.
