Boiler Start-up Procedure

The hotel's hot water supply is provided by two boilers located in the plant room on the roof. These boilers should generally not be handled, except in situations where there is no hot water in guest rooms or the kitchen, indicating a potential boiler outage requiring a restart.

Procedure
  1. Access the Boilers: Enter the plant room, turn right, and proceed to the end of the walkway. Turn left; the two brown/cream boilers will be directly in front of you. The switches are on the opposite wall (east wall, to your right).
  2. Boiler Restart:
    1. Turn off the switch (located within the red box above).
    2. Wait for 60 seconds.
    3. Turn the switch back on.

A successful restart will be accompanied by a distinct "whoommpphhh" sound. If the boiler fails to restart, contact the Maintenance Manager immediately.
