Contractor Sign-in Procedure

This procedure outlines the steps to be followed when contractors arrive on the premises to ensure their identification, security, and compliance with safety regulations.

This procedure applies to all external contractors, vendors, and service providers entering the premises to perform work.

  1. Arrival at Reception:
    • Upon arrival, the contractor must proceed to the reception desk.
    • The contractor is required to provide their name, company affiliation, and purpose of visit.
  2. Sign-In:
    • The contractor will be asked to sign the Contractor Sign-In Sheet, recording their arrival time and expected departure time.

  3. Key and Lanyard Issuance:
    • The receptionist will provide the contractor with a designated contractor key and lanyard.
    • The contractor must wear the lanyard visibly at all times while on the premises.
    • The receptionist will record the key and lanyard number issued to the contractor in the log.
  4. Departure:
    • Upon completion of their work, the contractor must return to the reception desk.
    • The contractor will return the contractor key and lanyard.
    • The receptionist will record the return of the key and lanyard in the log and sign the contractor out.
Notes:
  • Contractors must not lend their key or lanyard to anyone else.
  • Any lost or damaged keys or lanyards must be reported to the reception desk immediately.
  • Failure to comply with this procedure may result in the contractor being denied access to the premises.
