Dry cleaning Procedure
We offer convenient dry cleaning services to our hotel guests through our affiliated dry cleaning service.
Key Information
- Dry cleaning bags and forms are typically available in the guest's wardrobe drawers. If not, you can find them in the cupboards of the back counter at Reception.
- Our affiliated dry cleaning service collects items around 8-9 AM daily, with next-day delivery.
- For same-day service (by the end of the day or the night before), guests must drop off their laundry before 8:30 AM.
Note:
The hotel is not responsible for any loss or damage incurred during the dry cleaning process.
Dropping Off Guest Laundry
- Before accepting laundry, ensure the form is completed accurately with the guest's room number, name, and signature. Verify that the number of items listed matches the actual items.
- Place the completed form inside the laundry bag and tie it securely. Place the bag in the designated hamper within the Housekeeping cupboard.
- For same-day service, inform the Duty Manager so they can notify the dry cleaning company.
- Complete the Guest Dry Cleaning Log book with the relevant details.
Receiving and Delivering Cleaned Laundry
- Upon receiving cleaned laundry, verify the room number and guest name against the attached receipt and the information in iHMS.
- Photocopy the receipt and attach it to the corresponding guest's registration card.
- Request a Houseperson to deliver the laundry to the guest's room. If a houseperson is unavailable, yourself or your Duty Manager can also drop the items to the room.
- Update the Guest Dry Cleaning Log book with the laundry drop off date.
Posting the Charge
- Open the guest's folio and navigate to the "Transactions" tab.
- Right-click and choose "Manual Posting." Select "Laundry Dry Cleaning" as the post code and enter the amount from the dry cleaning receipt. Click "NEXT."
Note:
It is not necessary to type the itemised list, as the original receipt will be given to the guest with their laundry.
